New from NLO publishing: "Trialogues" of Kabakov, Bakshtein and Epstein

In 2025, the “New Literary Observer” publishing house will release the book “Trialogues. Improvisations on Free Themes”, a creative experiment by Ilya Kabakov, Iosif Bakshtein, and Mikhail Epstein, undertaken in the 1980s. “Trialogues” is a collection of short essays about culture and Soviet everyday life, commented by the authors.

We are publishing an introduction written by Mikhail Epstein, which reveals the course of the literary experiment and its circumstances, and a trialogue “Vacation” about how time without work exposes the individual.
